A Rainy Day Tea
"The best kind of rain, of course, is a cozy rain. This is the kind of rain that falls on a day when you'd just as soon stay in bed a little longer, write letters or read a good book by the fire, take early tea with hot scones and jam and look out the streaked window with complacency."
In April, Sweet Shalom will be offering our first "Rainy Day" Tea. Greet beautiful April with all it's rainy days and fresh spring flowers with a lovely afternoon filled with lilting poetry, literature and tea.
Tuck into a fresh repast of:
- Orange Pinwheel Scones with Double Cream and Jam,
- Lily pad chicken and dumpling soup,
- Garden vegetable cucumber cups,
- Radish Tea Sandwiches,
- Toad in the hole,
- Egg salad tea sandwiches,
- Daffodil cake,
- Bumbershoot cookies, and
- Mississippi mud pie.
